The race.
The Joplin RoadRunners' 43rd Annual Pumpkin Run takes place October 25, 2026, in Carthage, Missouri, with four distances: 1 mile, 2 miles, 8K, and 10 miles. All races start and finish at the Leggett & Platt parking lot, running on Leggett Road and the Ruby Jack trail. The 10-mile race serves as the RRCA State Championship at that distance. Winners receive decorated pumpkins as prizes, with the top 100 finishers receiving participation pumpkins. Chip-timed races (2M, 8K, 10M) qualify for RRCA medals in overall and age-group categories (40+, 50+, 60+), plus cash awards up to $100. The 1-mile run offers chip-less participation awards only. Virtual race options are available with complementary shirts mailed to participants.
