The race.
KARES Foundation hosts the 5th annual 5K "For the Long Run" on September 25, 2026, in Metamora, Illinois. Participants can run, walk, roll, or bike the 5K distance to raise awareness and funds for KDM5C. The event welcomes both individual participants and team events organized within local communities. Donations and sponsorships are also accepted from those unable to participate in the race itself.
