Kern Cancer Run/Walk and Festival 2026

The race.

The Kern Cancer Run/Walk and Festival takes place September 12, 2026, at Riverwalk Park in Bakersfield, California, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Participants can register for a 5K run/walk, 1-mile option, or children's jog-a-thon with age divisions for ages 3–5, 6–8, and 9–11. Early registration costs $10 through March 31, 2026, then increases to $20; children ages 3–11 register for $10, and survivors register free. Event t-shirts are available for $20 with an order deadline of August 30, 2026. The race is timed and awards are given to top finishers in each category, as well as to top fundraising teams and individuals. One hundred percent of funds benefit the Kern County Cancer Foundation to help local patients with medical bills and assist children with cancer requiring travel for treatment.
