The race.

Kiteboard 4 Cancer's 20th Anniversary Derby Race takes place July 11, 2026, in Hood River, Oregon. Teams of three compete across three disciplines—kiteboarding, wingfoiling, and foil of choice—each racing for 1 hour 45 minutes on a buoy course on the Columbia River, with 15-minute transitions between legs. Kiteboarding starts from the Washington side with a rabbit start; wingfoiling and foil of choice launch from the event site beach. Winners are determined by combined laps across all three disciplines. All proceeds benefit The Next Door's Columbia Gorge Youth Connection mental health program and Columbia Gorge Health Council's mental health initiatives in the Gorge.
