About the race
The race.
The Lighthouse 5K Series takes place August 12, 2026, at 8 AM in Corolla, NC, featuring a 5K and 1-mile race. The event starts and finishes at The Whalehead Club (1100 Club Rd, Historic Corolla Park). Registration and packet pickup occur race morning from 6:50–7:50 AM at the start line; walk-ups are welcome. Entry fees are $45 for adults and $40 for youth 17 and under. All participants receive a t-shirt, finisher medal, and chip timing. Awards go to top 3 male and female finishers overall, plus first-place winners in the Masters (40+) and Youth (14 and under) categories. Onsite parking and restrooms are available. The OBX Running Company organizes the event.
