About the race
The race.
The Lorain County Relay for Life 5K/1Mile takes place September 26, 2026, at Lorain County Community College in Elyria, Ohio. The event features a 3.1-mile 5K starting at 9:00 AM, a 1-mile fun run/walk also beginning at 9:00 AM, and a kids' run at 10:00 AM. The flat course is measured and mapped. All 5K and 1-mile participants receive a t-shirt and medal; kids' run participants receive a medal. Top three male and female 5K finishers earn Goodr sunglasses, and top three in each age group receive a Specialized race bottle. Bib and t-shirt pickup begins at 7:00 AM race day at the registration tent near the start/finish parking area. Proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society.
