Run Inside the Wire 10K and Full Marathon 2026

The race.

The Scare-A-Thon Marathon and 10K takes place on October 31, 2026, in Grafton, OH, within the Grafton Correctional Institution secure perimeter. Participants can register for a 10K (3 laps), half marathon (13.1 miles on 13 laps), or full marathon (26.2 miles on 13 laps), all run on a roughly 2-mile loop course. Runners compete alongside residents of the Running2bwell training program, with all race proceeds benefiting that initiative. Each finisher receives a custom t-shirt. Participants must be at least 21 years old, arrive by 6:00 am for security clearance, bring a valid photo ID, and adhere to a dress code requiring sleeved shirts and shorts at mid-thigh or longer; no tight or form-fitting apparel is permitted. Entry is limited to the first 30 registrants; runners may bring only water bottles, hats, and watches, with all participants subject to security search.
