The Mountain Man Memorial March takes place April 10–11, 2026, in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, starting and finishing at Pi Beta Phi Elementary School. Participants choose from run events (26.2-mile marathon, 13.1-mile half marathon, 10K, and 5K) or march events (26.2-mile and 13.1-mile distances) organized by gender, age, and military affiliation categories. Run events are divided by gender and age; march events include individual, team (5 members), civilian, and military categories with heavy and light uniform and rucksack requirements. All registered participants and volunteers receive three meals: Friday lunch (2:00–5:00 p.m.), Saturday breakfast (6:00–8:00 a.m.), and Saturday lunch/dinner (noon–6:00 p.m.), provided by Legacies Alive, a nonprofit supporting Gold Star Families. Virtual racing options are available with race shirts and participant medals included. The event benefits Legacies Alive, a 501(c)(3) organization supporting Gold Star Families.
