The race.

The New Year's Run takes place December 26, 2026, in Austin, Texas, offering four distance options: 1 mile, 5K, 10K, and 13.1 miles. Participants can choose from four wave start times beginning at 7:30 AM, with waves filling on a first-come basis. Race bibs are distributed on race day, while finisher amenities—including a technical running t-shirt, finisher's medal, towel or giveaway item, and digital training pack—are shipped to registered US addresses. Optional timing is available through personal tracking apps or coordinator assistance, with results posted online and a certificate of completion provided. A virtual run option is also available.
