The race.

NJ Trail Series SOMO Winter 1 takes place November 14, 2026, at South Mountain Reservation in South Orange, NJ. The event offers 5K, 10K, and half-marathon distances on a looped trail course combining fire roads, single-track trail, hills, and pavement. Aid stations are positioned approximately every 3 miles. Race starts are staggered: 9:00 AM for the 13.1-mile race, 9:30 AM for the 10K, and 10:00 AM for the 5K. Race day registration opens at 8:00 AM; runners should arrive one hour before their start time. A giveaway item will be provided to finishers. Registration is available in advance or on race day through multiple payment methods including cash, check, Venmo, Zelle, and PayPal.
