The race.
The Ohio Swiss Festival Cheese Chase takes place October 3, 2026, in Sugarcreek, OH, featuring a 1-mile untimed fun run/health walk starting at 8:00 AM and a 10K run and 5K run/walk starting at 8:30 AM. The race begins and ends at the Sugarcreek Fire Department, 154 Broadway Street. Packet pickup runs Friday, October 2 from 6:00–7:30 PM, with additional registration on race day starting at 7:00 AM. Finishers in the 10K and 5K receive t-shirts (youth small to large, adult XS to 3XL, or $5 discount for no shirt). Awards include medallions and cheese for top three male and female overall finishers and top three in each age group (12 & under through 65 & over). Awards ceremony begins at 9:30 AM.
