About the race
The race.
The Oktoberfest Run & Walk takes place on October 10, 2026, in New Orleans, Louisiana, with start and finish at Deutsches Haus (1700 Moss Street). Participants can register for a 6K, 5K, 2-mile, or 1-mile distance. Packet pickup and registration begin at 2:30 PM, with the 5K starting at 4:00 PM. The course includes a loop around the Fairgrounds Racetrack. An award ceremony is scheduled for 6:00 PM on the main Oktoberfest stage. Race bibs include two free entries to the New Orleans Oktoberfest festival, redeemable on any weekend (one use only). Food, beverages, and live music are available at the event.
