The race.
The Over-Under Biathlon takes place in Surf City, NC on September 19, 2026, offering multiple competition formats. Participants can enter a full biathlon combining paddling (kayak, canoe, outrigger canoe, or surfski) with a 5K run, compete in a paddle-board-only biathlon with a 14-and-under division, run the 5K solo, paddle only, or join a relay team with one paddler and one runner. Awards go to the top three finishers in men's and women's categories for biathlon and 5K events, plus age-based awards for the 5K (under 45 and over 46). Registration includes a triblend t-shirt, pint glass, and post-race party. Proceeds benefit Make a Wish Eastern NC.
