Paws Along the Erie 5K and Festival 2026

The race.

Paws Along the Erie 5K takes place August 30, 2026, in Chittenango, NY, benefiting Wanderers Rest Human Association Inc., a nonprofit animal shelter. The 5K follows a flat stone dust trail on an out-and-back course starting at 8:30 a.m. Registration includes a race t-shirt, fuel, and hydration. The post-race festival features vendor booths and access to the Canal Boat Museum. Runners and walkers may participate solo or with leashed dogs; dogs must be friendly and have current rabies vaccination documentation. Entry fees are $25 during opening week, $30 thereafter until race day, and $35 on race day.
