Pirates Plunder takes place September 6, 2026, in Long Beach, CA, starting at Alamitos Beach (780 E Shoreline Dr.). The event offers three distances: 5K, 10K, and 10-mile races. Bib pickup occurs Saturday from 1–3 p.m. at Sports Basement Long Beach, with additional pickup Sunday starting at 6:20 a.m. The 5K and 10K begin at 7:30 a.m., while the 10-mile starts at 7 a.m.; the course closes at 10:20 a.m. All finishers receive a medal, and water, electrolytes, and snacks are available at the finish line. The out-and-back course follows the beach path with marked turns and on-course water stations. Race results and photos are posted online the day of the race and emailed the following day.
