RecSports 5K Fun Run & Walk 2026

The race.

The RecSports 5K Fun Run & Walk takes place on May 2, 2026, in Knoxville, Tennessee. The 5K begins at 8 a.m. at TRECS (2111 Volunteer Blvd.) and finishes at RecSports Sutherland Field Complex (3620 Sutherland Ave.). The course runs from TRECS Plaza along Andy Holt Avenue and Volunteer Boulevard, crosses Cumberland Avenue to Tyson Park, and continues through Third Creek Greenway to the finish. All finishers receive a medal, with awards given to the top three male and female runners overall and to the top performer in each age group (14 & under through 70+). The award ceremony begins at 9:30 a.m. Participants may pick up race packets during designated weekday windows before race day. T-shirts are guaranteed only for registrations completed by April 3rd. Food and door prizes are available after the race at the finish area.
