The race.
The Rev3 Back Bay Swim offers open water swimming in the Chincoteague Bay near Assateague Island with two distance options: a 1-mile swim and a 3-mile swim (run as three loops). The event takes place September 12, 2026, in Snow Hill, Maryland, at the Public Landing Wharf complex. Packet pickup begins at 9:00 a.m., followed by a safety briefing and national anthem at 10:15 a.m. at the Public Landing Pavilion. The 3-mile swim starts at 10:30 a.m. and the 1-mile swim starts at 11:00 a.m., with swimmers starting from the beach area and finishing on the pier. An awards ceremony is scheduled for 12:00 p.m.
