Riva Runs The Boardwalk 5k 2026

The race.

Riva Runs The Boardwalk is a 5K run and walk held September 12, 2026, in West Haven, CT, starting at 6:00 p.m. on the boardwalk. The course is flat, approximately 3.11 miles, with one water table and volunteer marshals. Packet pickup begins at 4:00 p.m. at the lot next to Riva restaurant. Finishers receive a specially designed t-shirt (guaranteed if registered by September 1), computer chip timing, snacks, non-alcoholic beverages, and alcoholic beverages for ages 21+. Awards go to top male and female overall finishers plus first place in nine age groups (9 and under through 70+). An awards ceremony follows at 6:45 p.m., and a free kids fun run for ages 9 and under starts at 5:45 p.m. Registration fees range from $25–$45 depending on age and registration date. The event benefits Riva Gives Back, a 501(c)(3) supporting local charities including Special Olympics.
