About the race
The race.
Run Like Leo is a virtual challenge taking place August 1–18, 2026, where participants complete either 8.17 miles or a longer distance on their own schedule and location. Participants can walk, jog, run, or move indoors or outdoors, solo or with others. Registration includes an exclusive event t-shirt featuring artwork designed by a Santa Cruz Crushers softball mentor. Proceeds support the Live Like Leo Foundation's grants, scholarships, international travel programs, and athletic facilities funding. An in-person "Last Mile" meetup will be held in Lafayette, California on August 17th to honor Leo's birthday.
