Description
Run the Wild: A Summer Trail Running Celebration, Sunday July 26, 2026 at Memorial Park — a community trail running event bringing together Houston’s road, trail, ultra, and social running communities for a morning of miles, connection, and summer fun.
This is a welcoming, no-drop group run experience with guided routes, relaxed pace groups, and plenty of support along the way. Whether you are new to trails, trail-curious, training for your next ultra, or just looking for a fun community morning, this event is for you.
Trail Racing Over Texas (TROT) will be showcasing part of the route for the upcoming Houston Ultra Trail, coming to Memorial Park in February. Come preview the trails, meet other runners, ask questions, and get excited for Houston’s first big ultra trail running experience.
After the run, stick around for breakfast tacos, drinks, snacks, giveaways, socializing, and good vibes.
This event is hosted in collaboration with an incredible lineup of Houston running groups and community partners, including:
Trail Racing Over Texas — bringing trail racing, community, and the “Get off the Road” spirit to runners across Texas.
Houston Area Trail Runners / HATR — sharing a love of trail running, adventure, inclusivity, stewardship, and making new runners feel welcome and safe on the trails.
Timeless Runners — supporting runners of all paces and experience levels as they grow stronger, faster, more confident, and more connected through meaningful miles.
Houston Colosseum Runners — a Houston-based collective of road and trail runners united by community, consistency, and pushing limits together from 5Ks to 100+ mile ultras.
Freaks Come Out At Night Run Club — exploring Houston every Friday night and bringing energy, personality, and community to the running scene.
WildSense — supporting the local trail community and helping bring people together through outdoor adventure.
NeverSecond — performance nutrition built on science, clean ingredient profiles, and a simple fueling system to help runners train smarter, race stronger, and recover faster.
We are also using this event to raise money for the Houston Area Women’s Center (HAWC), an organization providing support, safety, and services for survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Donations are encouraged and appreciated.
Come run, connect, give back, and celebrate Houston’s wild side with us.
