About the race
The race.
Running for Africa 2026 takes place on September 19, 2026, at The Park at Hayes Farm in Huntsville, Alabama. The event offers a 5K run starting at 8:00 AM and a 1-mile fun run/walk starting at 9:00 AM. Gates open at 7:00 AM with late registration available on-site. All finishers receive a medal, and the 5K features trophies for top overall and master division finishers plus medals for 1st–3rd place in all age divisions. Early registrants who complete registration by September 1, 2026, receive a free race shirt. Registration fees are $30 for the 5K and $25 for the 1-mile event. Proceeds benefit Archangel Group International, a nonprofit addressing poverty and human trafficking in Africa.
