Salem Run'ucopia Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot 6k/10k/15k 2026

The race.

Salem's Thanksgiving Day running event features four timed distances on November 26, 2026. Participants can register for a 6K (approximately 4 miles), 10K (6.2 miles), 15K (9.3 miles), or a free 1K kids run for ages 6 and under. The race starts and finishes at the pavilion in Riverfront Park, with staggered start times beginning at 9:10 a.m. The 6K and 10K follow loop and out-and-back courses through Minto Brown Island Park, while the 15K includes a dirt trail section. Post-race amenities include hot chocolate and coffee, raffle drawings, and commemorative photos. Age group awards go to top three finishers in categories from 14 & under through 80 & over, with special prizes for top overall male and female finishers. Early packet pickup is available November 25 at Gallagher's Fitness Resources in downtown Salem.
