Sidewinder 2026

The race.

The Sidewinder takes place September 5, 2026, in Coraopolis, PA, at Montour Woods Conservation Area, with all races starting at 8:00 am from Clearview Pavilion in Moon Park. Runners can choose from three distances: a 13.1-mile half marathon, a 20-mile run, or a 50K, each with a 10-hour cutoff. The course features dirt singletrack, roots, switchbacks, and rocky terrain across three sections: a 1.3-mile Liftoff segment, a 9-mile loop around Montour Woods (repeated once for 20-milers and twice for 50K runners), and a Final Approach section. Aid stations are spaced approximately every 3–4 miles. All finishers receive medals, and top male and female finishers in each distance earn awards. Race proceeds benefit the Hollow Oak Land Trust. Participants who register by July 31, 2026, are guaranteed a race shirt. Packet pickup is planned for the evening before and morning of the race.
