Skokie's Backlot Dash 5K and 1/2 Mile Youth Color Run 2026

Skokie's Backlot Dash takes place on August 29, 2026, in Downtown Skokie at the Backlot Bash grounds near Floral and Oakton Streets. The event includes a 5K race starting at 8:30 a.m. and a half-mile kids' run beginning at 8 a.m. Packet pickup is available Thursday, August 27 from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Friday, August 28 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Friday evening from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Weber Leisure Center, with additional race-day registration from 6:30 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. The 5K course is USATF certified and includes chip timing; finishers receive a t-shirt and one free beer. Kids' run participants receive a t-shirt and participation medal. Races are organized by age groups ranging from 14 and under through 85 and over.
