SoCal's Sunset Trick or Trot 5k/10K - Halloween Race 2026

The race.

SoCal's Sunset Trick or Trot takes place October 24, 2026, at Bolsa Chica State Beach (Lot 25) in Huntington Beach, CA, with a 5:00 PM mass start. Participants can choose a 5K (3.1 miles) or 10K (6.21 miles), with kids races beginning at 4:30 PM. The flat, paved course features ocean views and runs along the beach. Registration opens at 3:00 PM for packet pickup, bibs, event shirts, and trick-or-treat bags. All finishers receive a custom reversible medal and a fall-themed shirt; awards go to top three finishers in five-year age divisions (ages 1–80+), top three overall males and females, best Halloween costume, and oldest and youngest finishers. Food and beverages include street tacos, aguas frescas, specialty coffee, and cookies. A Trunk-or-Treat Expo runs from 3:00 PM with games, giveaways, and selfie stations.
