About the race

The race.

The Strawberry Sprint 5K and Fun Run takes place April 4, 2026, in Thorsby, Alabama, as part of the town's Strawberry Fest. The 5K starts at 8:00 a.m. from the intersection of Franklin Street and Alabama Avenue near Thorsby High School, following an out-and-back course on County Road 37 South with a gentle incline on the return. A Kids Fun Run begins at approximately 9:00 a.m. inside Richard Wood Park. Check-in occurs at Richard Wood Park. Online registration closes April 2; on-site registration opens 7:00–7:45 a.m. on race day. The 5K is hand-timed and open to runners, walkers, and leashed dogs; 5K participants receive a t-shirt, and Fun Run finishers receive a medal. All profits benefit the Jemison High School Cross Country Team.
