Summer Meltdown Half Marathon - Houston 2026

The race.

The Summer Meltdown Half Marathon takes place on August 9, 2026, at Brazos River Park in Sugarland, Texas, with races starting at 7 AM. Five timed distances are offered: a 1-mile run, 5K (3.11 miles), quarter marathon (6.55 miles), and half marathon (13.1 miles), plus a non-timed kids dash of approximately 20 yards for ages 10 and under. All finishers receive medals and t-shirts. The 5K, quarter marathon, and half marathon feature chip timing with awards for overall male and female winners, masters category (40+) recognition pins, and age-group medals (gold, silver, bronze) across multiple divisions. Aid stations provide water and support throughout the course. Post-race refreshments and treats from Kona Ice are available at the finish.
