The race.

The Summer Sizzler takes place in Tea, South Dakota on August 16, 2026, offering five race distances: 50 meters, 1 mile, 3.1 miles, 6.2 miles, and 9.3 miles. All finishers receive a custom medal and designer shirt, with chip timing and live results provided. The 1-mile race includes a challenge pin instead of a medal. A separate kids' dash for ages 10 and under features an untimed format with a youth-sized shirt and dash pin included. Finish-line amenities include complimentary photos and refreshments. Registration must be completed by midnight on the Thursday two weeks before race day to guarantee shirt availability. A virtual race option is available for participants unable to attend in person.
