Swim & Paddle the South River 2026

The race.

This 5-mile swim and paddle event on the South River in Riva, MD takes place October 4, 2026, and benefits the Arundel Rivers Federation. Participants choose between a Solo Swim option with a dedicated paddler or a Take a Turn relay format where swimmers and paddlers alternate roles. Swimmers organize into pods of 2–4 similarly paced individuals, each supported by a boat. All participants must fundraise a minimum of $100 beyond registration; those who raise $500 or more receive free registration. Swimmers may register individually into paced pods or join as a pre-formed group, with no speed pressures or equipment restrictions required.
