The 55th Annual Switchback Scamper takes place on September 27, 2026, in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania. Runners choose between a 6.2-mile or 3.1-mile course. The 6.2-mile run begins at the intersection of West White Street and Church Street in Summit Hill, covering the first two miles through borough streets, followed by 2.5 miles on gravel and grass trails, a quarter mile on highway, and a final 0.2 miles on pavement. The course is point-to-point, finishing at Mauch Chunk Lake Park. Packet pickup occurs at Mauch Chunk Lake Park's Wildoner/Koch Pavilion from noon to 1:30 p.m. on race day. Police escort the start, and medical assistance is available at the finish.
