About the race
The race.
The Hoot Half Marathon & 10K Trail Race takes place Sunday, September 6, 2026, at Alum Creek State Park in Lewis Center, Ohio. Both races start at 8:00 a.m. from the trailhead off Hollenback Road. Runners may choose a 6.2-mile 10K or 13.1-mile half marathon on the Rocks and Roots Trail, with the half marathon requiring participants to begin their second lap by 9:45 a.m. and all races concluding at noon. Entry fees range from $45 through May 31st to $70 on race day, with packet pickup available at Fleet Feet Sports in Lewis Center on Friday and Saturday of race week, or at the park starting at 7:00 a.m. race morning. All finishers receive an event shirt and medal. The race operates a no-refund, no-bib-transfer policy.
