The race.
The Legacy Loop 5K takes place on August 15, 2026, at 5 p.m. at The Fields at RFK Stadium in Washington, DC, as part of the Chocolate City Criterium event. The race covers a 5K distance run over four laps on the Criterium course. Participants can enter the Elite Wave for faster paces, the Community Wave for mixed ability runners, or compete in the DC Run Club Championship, where the fastest run club wins the Legacy Loop Championship Belt. The race is presented by REI Coop.
