The race.
On September 12, 2026, The Running Fence Run takes place in Bloomfield, CA, honoring the 50th anniversary of Christo and Jeanne-Claude's 1976 Running Fence art installation in Sonoma County. Participants may choose from six distances: 400 meters, 1 mile, 5K, 10K, half marathon (13.1 miles), or full marathon (26.2 miles). Race packets are available for pickup at Sports Basement in Santa Rosa on Saturday, September 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Friday, September 11, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Basementeers receive a 20% discount valid for both packet pickup days.
