About the race
The race.
Top of Tamarack takes place on September 26, 2026, in Tamarack, Idaho. Participants can run, hike, or bike up a service road to the summit, choosing their own distance with a maximum of 15 miles round trip and 2,900 feet of elevation gain. Mile markers along the route award tokens to participants at each checkpoint. The top male and female finishers in both running and biking categories will be recognized as King and Queen of the Mountain. Race proceeds benefit Gr8ter, Inc., a local organization supporting mental health recovery. Registration closes September 1st for guaranteed race swag.
