The race.
The Trail to Tryon Holiday Half, 10K & 5K takes place on December 5, 2026, in New Bern, NC. Runners can choose between three distances: a half marathon (13.1 miles), 10K, or 5K. All races start and finish at Tryon Palace on the south side near the Trent River. The courses are road-based and run through downtown New Bern, waterfront parks, and residential neighborhoods. All finishers receive medals, and age group awards are presented in each distance category. A post-race celebration with vendors takes place in the Bates Commons.
