About the race
The race.
The Turkey Shuffle takes place November 14, 2026, in Shreveport, LA, starting and finishing at Stoner Avenue Skate Plaza. Runners can choose from a 50-meter Kids Dash (age 10 and under), a 1-mile run, a 3.11-mile course, or a 6.22-mile distance. All finishers receive a medal and shirt. Age group awards are presented at the live awards ceremony. A costume contest with Thanksgiving themes offers prizes including a trophy, certificate for two free future races, a gift card, and a Bigfoot Running Company swag pack. Water aid stations are positioned along the course, and snacks and refreshments are available at the finish rally tent. DJ entertainment and live race announcing are featured throughout the event.
