The race.
Turkey Trails takes place November 22, 2026, in Des Moines, Iowa, offering five timed distances—1 mile, 5K, 10K, half marathon, and 13.1 miles—plus an untimed kids' dash for ages 10 and under. All participants receive a custom bib, designer shirt, and finisher medal; youth ages 12 and under pay $17 for the 5K or 10K. The finish line features refreshments, and chip-timing with live results is provided. A virtual race option is available to complete the course anywhere at any time while earning event merchandise. Register by midnight two Thursdays before race day to guarantee shirt size.
