About the race
The race.
The Veterans Day Freedom Run takes place November 14, 2026, in New York City and offers 5K and 10K distances. Participants can choose from three wave start times beginning at 7:30 a.m., with late arrivals accommodated for up to three hours after the first wave. Finishers receive a race bib on race day, a technical running t-shirt, finisher's medal, towel or giveaway item, and a digital training pack, with the shirt shipped to a U.S. address before race day. Optional charity fundraising is available, with net proceeds directed to a cause of the participant's choice. A virtual run option is also offered for those unable to attend in person.
