Witches in the Woods 5K/2K | Hometown Happenings 2026

The race.

Witches in the Woods features a 5K and non-timed 2K held on October 30, 2026, at Crown Point Fairgrounds in Crown Point, Indiana. The 5K race begins at 6:00 p.m., with sign-in and registration from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. The course runs through trees and along fairgrounds roads at night; participants should bring flashlights or headlamps. Entry includes finisher medals for the first 200 registrants, free admission to the Hometown Hocus Pocus Market with live performances and activities, and awards for top overall finishers and top three in each age group, plus best costume prizes. Registration costs $30 for adults in the 5K and $20 for the non-timed 2K and children ages 3–12; children under 3 are free. Optional race shirts cost $16 if ordered by October 19th. Strollers are welcome.
