Open your preferences
Sign in and open Notifications. If you see role tabs, choose the preferences you want to manage: athlete, photographer, or race organizer. Single-role accounts open directly to their preferences. Available controls depend on your account and which features are enabled.
Check your notification channels
Where we reach you shows whether your account has an email address and a configured SMS number (last four digits only). A configured number is not a verification or delivery guarantee.
For push, Registered browsers counts active registrations attached to your account. This browser’s registration and notification permission are shown separately. Another registered browser can still appear in the count when push is unsupported or blocked on the browser you are using. Registration does not guarantee delivery; your browser permission and notification preferences also apply.
Use Refresh status after changing browser settings. This only checks the current state. Viewing or refreshing the summary does not request permission, register this browser, or opt you into alerts. If the read fails, the summary says it is unavailable rather than showing zero.
Photo-match emails
In athlete preferences, Each new match email and Daily digest are alternative ways to hear about eligible new photo matches. Turning on the daily digest turns off immediate match emails. Race-day-only batching is not available yet; use a supported option shown in your settings.
Saved-search race alerts
Saving a race search does not subscribe you to email. Turn on Saved-search race alerts separately if you want matching race suggestions.
Under Saved search alerts, choose Monthly or Weekly. If you have not already consented to weekly alerts, use the consent checkbox and Switch to weekly button. Accounts with active weekly consent can change cadence directly. Existing monthly consent does not automatically authorize weekly messages. Only saved Races searches feed these alerts; saved All or Activities views do not.
Pause an individual search to keep its filters without using it for alerts, or turn off the main saved-search alert preference to stop these emails. If consent has been withdrawn, the page explains how to opt in again. A weekly preference does not guarantee a message every week: there must be eligible matching races to send.
Other messages
Photo-match alerts, saved-search race alerts, and Platform updates are separate preferences. Review each category you want to change. Some account-security and required receipt messages are not optional; the settings page identifies controls you cannot turn off.
A channel-specific opt-out does not stop every message on every channel. Use Notifications to check the relevant preferences rather than relying on a WhatsApp STOP reply to disable email.
If a change does not save
Wait for the saved confirmation. If the page reports a failure, try again and check the displayed state before leaving. If controls are missing or the error persists, use the help chat and describe which preference you were changing; do not send account credentials.
