Setting up your event page

Create your event and fill in the date, distances, cover image, and coverage in a few minutes.

Create the event

From your organization admin, open Events and choose to create a new event. The first screen asks for only the essentials: event name, race date and time, timezone, and visibility (Public, Unlisted, or Private). Your public web address fills in automatically from the name, and you can edit it before it is taken. Click Create event and you land in the setup wizard, where you can refine everything.

Fill in the details

The wizard walks you through a few steps that save as you go:

  • Details and registration: set the event type and a support email, and choose how athletes register (on PodiumBase, an external link, or none). You can also turn on Free mode. Eligible published gallery photos then cost the athlete nothing; the signed-in gallery can provide a clean derivative when ready and otherwise may fall back to an eligible watermarked asset. Where the public free-by-bib page is exposed, it delivers a watermarked, race-branded pack of eligible bib matches without an account.
  • Cover image and venue: upload a cover image and add the venue address so coverage can be estimated.
  • Course and schedule: upload a course file and add your distances and schedule.
  • Photos and photographers: turn on bib search so athletes can find photos by bib number, and invite photographers by email.

Go live

The last step is a short review with a recommended checklist. When you are ready, click Publish event to make the page visible to athletes. You can keep editing after publishing.

Your logo, banner, and colors are set once for your whole organization rather than per event. See Your organization branding.
