What a passport is

Your runner passport is a public page that shares your race history at a link you can give out. It is off by default, so nothing is public until you choose to turn it on.

Set it up

From your account, open your passport settings. Choose a handle for your public link, decide whether the passport is visible, and pick which details to show. You stay in control of what appears.

Review your races

Your passport can pull in the races we have matched to you. You can review those match candidates and confirm the ones that are really yours, so your public history is accurate. When you are ready, share your link. You can turn the passport off again any time.

Confirming a result from an external results page adds a Matched result; it does not by itself verify your identity. External pages usually show a name, time, or bib but do not prove that the signed-in PodiumBase account owns that record. Identity verification becomes available when PodiumBase has an organizer-backed roster for the race: enter your bib, then confirm through the organizer email or request review from authorized race staff.

Show your name and your results

A passport can go public straight away as a handle-only page. To put your real name, your verified results, and your photos on it, you first have to confirm that one of those race records is actually yours. A public page that asserts someone's race history is exactly the thing worth impersonating, so we check before we publish it.

In your passport settings, pick a race you ran and enter the bib you wore. One of three things happens:

• The organizer's roster has the same email address you signed in with, and your passport verifies on the spot.
• The roster has a different address for that bib. We send a one-time confirmation link to the address on file rather than showing it to you. Open the link from that inbox and the verification finishes itself.
• The roster has no email for that bib, or more than one entry matches it. Race staff have to confirm it instead. Email support@podiumbase.io with the race and your bib and we will sort it by hand.

Until a race is confirmed, your passport stays a handle-only page and search engines are told not to index it. Nothing you have not verified is ever published under your name.
