About the race
The race.
The 2026 Fishy 5K takes place September 19 in Hatteras, NC, with an early morning start before the Day at the Dock activities. The 5K course runs through Hatteras Village on flat terrain and is not chip timed. Prizes are awarded to the top three finishers in men's, ladies', and youth categories. Packet pickup is available Friday, September 18, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Proceeds benefit the Hatteras United Methodist Church and its community programs, including winter meal services, the Hatteras Community Preschool, the Hatteras Island Angel Gift Christmas Program, the Day at the Docks celebration, and a Costa Rica mission trip.
