The race.
The 2026 Southern Food Series consists of four races held on Jekyll Island, GA on April 11–12. Two races run on April 11: the Shrimp 4K at 5:24 p.m. and the Grits 4K at 6:14 p.m. On April 12, the Green Eggs 4K starts at 7:34 a.m. and the Ham 4K at 8:24 a.m. Races start at 550 South Beachview Dr. Pre-registered runners who complete at least two races and register by March 23, 2026 receive a collectable shirt. Registration costs $12.44 per race. Race day registration is available but shirts and meals are not guaranteed for same-day sign-ups. Support for 4-H is included through participation.
