About the race

The race.

The 2027 Palmer Park Event Series offers three distances—8K, 5K, and 1 Mile—held on June 13th at Palmer Park in Detroit, Michigan. The 1 Mile run begins at 8:15 AM, while the 8K and 5K start at 8:45 AM, with check-in and packet pickup from 6:30–8:00 AM on race day. Packet pickup is also available the day before (Saturday, June 12th) from 12:30–4:30 PM at Welcome Home Yoga & Wellness. The 8K and 5K registrations include a shirt, medal, bib, and interactive online media; the 1 Mile includes a medal, bib, interactive online media, and an optional shirt. Proceeds benefit People for Palmer Park and Ruth Ellis Center. An outdoor yoga session is scheduled for 10:00 AM.
