The race.

The 2nd Annual Miles for Mammos 5K & 1-Mile Run/Walk takes place October 17, 2026, in Southport, NC, with proceeds benefiting Dosher Memorial Hospital's breast health services. The timed 5K begins at 9:00 a.m. (check-in by 8:30 a.m.), and the untimed 1-mile walk starts at 9:15 a.m. The race starts and finishes at the back of Dosher Memorial Hospital (924 N Howe St), near the corner of 9th Street and Atlantic Avenue. All participants receive a commemorative medal and race shirt (while supplies last, sizes XS–2XL). The 5K features overall and age-group awards (14 and under through 80+). Water stations are positioned at the 1-mile turnaround and at St. George/Lord Street; post-race snacks are provided. Packet pickup occurs Friday, October 16, 2:00–4:00 p.m. at Live Oak Med Spa, or Saturday morning 7:30–8:15 a.m. at the race site. Online registration closes Saturday at 6:00 a.m.
