The race.

4 for the 4th! takes place on July 3, 2026, in Avon, NC. The event features a 4-mile run or walk and a 1776 Dash (approximately one-third mile) for younger participants. All registered runners receive a finisher's medal, performance t-shirt, eco-friendly cup for course use, and cold towel at the finish, followed by a breakfast and post-race party. Proceeds benefit Hatteras Island Meals, Hatteras Island CERT Team, Chicamacomico Life Saving Station, and support for a local child battling B Cell Leukemia.
