The race.

The 911 Dispatch "Live Virtual" 5K/10K takes place on Saturday, August 22, 2026, as part of the 1st Responder Series. Participants may run either the 5K or 10K distance and can complete their race anytime between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m. Eastern time on race day, or select the "medal only" option to run at any time before the race date. Virtual check-in and start occur via text or Facebook Live at 7 a.m. Eastern, with the official race start at 8 a.m. Eastern. Timekeeping is verified by texting a screenshot or photo of your treadmill, running app, or fitness watch on race day. All participants receive a custom 911 Dispatch race medal; age group and overall winners in multiple categories receive laser-engraved placement and time on their medals. Registration includes U.S. shipping via USPS 1st Class Mail with tracking.
