The race.
A Merry Christmas Run takes place on December 26, 2026, in Chicago, Illinois, offering 5K and 10K distances. Participants can choose from four wave start times beginning at 7:30 a.m., with registration available online and a virtual option for those unable to attend in person. All ages and fitness levels are welcome to run or walk. Finishers receive a technical running shirt (shipped prior to race day), medal, towel or giveaway item, digital training pack, and online certificate of completion. Timing is optional and can be tracked via personal running apps or with coordinator assistance. The organizer donates $1 per mile logged after the race to partner charities.
