The race.

A Merry Christmas Run takes place on December 26, 2026, in Sacramento, CA, and offers four distances: 1 mile, 5K, 10K, and 13.1 miles. Participants may choose from four wave start times beginning at 7:30 AM, with the final wave departing at 8:30 AM; coordinators remain on-site for three hours after the first wave. All ages and paces are welcome to run or walk, and timing is optional—runners may self-track using an app or request coordinator assistance. Registration includes a finisher's medal, running t-shirt (shipped to the mailing address provided during registration), finisher's towel or giveaway, digital training pack, online results, and certificate of completion. Race bibs are distributed on race day; packet pickup is not required. A virtual run option is also available. For every mile logged after the race, $1 is donated to partner charities.
